Gran’s Homemade Wine:

This is the recipe I have for the home made wine made from Welch’s grape juice.  You will need a glass gallon jug and a large  balloon.  One  12 oz can Welch’s frozen grape juice One cake (or package) of yeast, dissolved  4 cups sugar ( If I'm gonna drink the stuff, it has to be sweet! ) Water to fill jug almost to the top  Mix the grape juice according to the directions on can.  Add sugar and yeast,  and make sure all  ingredients are dissolved.  Put in the glass jug and add water to almost fill the jug.  Put the balloon around the neck of  the jug so that air cannot escape.  Let stand  21 days. The balloon will expand as the wine ferments. You may have to release the pressure once.  When the balloon goes down,  the wine should be done.
